Data Types

Country codes

Country codes are formatted as a two-character code according to ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 standard, e.g. GB, US, IN, DE, etc.

Currency codes

Currencies are formatted as a three-character ISO-4217 currency code that identifies the currency, e.g. GBP, EUR.

Currency values

Currency amounts are expressed in minor units according to the ISO 4217 standard. Aka in the smallest unit of currency.

Examples

  • USD with 1000 represents $10
  • GBP with 500 represents £5
  • EUR with 50 represents €0.50
  • SEK with 100 represents 1kr

Locale (language codes)

Locale defines a language and region. The locale follows the format of RFC 1766 ("language-country").

Examples

  • FI: fi-FI
  • SE: sv-SE
  • GB: en-GB
